You can only view so many wonderful amazing pictures on the web before you start becoming inspired to make your own. I started doing the photography for local theater companies and learned all the skills needed to get great pictures. From there I got the equipment for a portable studio and started asking people to be my models. It's exciting, nerve wracking, frustrating and wonderful to run your own shoot! I think even a wonderful model on a plain background makes for a boring picture so I started making my own backgrounds to go with the pictures. This led to composites where I'm cutting out the models and putting them into different scenes. This gives the picture a story, texture and history that makes it much more fun to look at. The process takes a lot more time but in the end the picture becomes art.

Tournament Mage

Is undergoing the final review and is almost ready for release.

As we head into Spring, Book Five of the Fledgling God series has a name and is being finalized before being released on Amazon.

During this time I will be taking a break from Mages and Gods and will be experimenting with Cultivation in a new world and in third-person!

The untitled fifth book in the Fledgling God series is currently in progress…

Progress is slowly being made on the Fifth Book of the Fledgling God series.

New challenges and discoveries await the residents of House Louisville as they attempt to save the House, (and themselves), of a lifetime of servitude to the Bank.

When I have a few more chapters finished, I will resume my weekly YouTube reading of the chapters! Visits from various cats almost guaranteed.

The book has been released!!!!!

Finally! Book 3 – Gathering Mage – is now available for preorder. Woot! I’m so excited!! It’s coming out this Sunday 01/30/2022 so get it now.

Paperback and Audio versions are in the works. For now, it’s the kindle edition getting released. This book is huge. Over 800 pages! It’s a real adventure, too. I’m so happy with it and I hope you really enjoy reading it. 🙂

Book 3 Update!

Book 3 is coming along well! Although it may not seem like it since it’s been a year since I put the last book out.

I really struggled with writing last year. I had gotten heavy into edit mode to finish book 2 and switching back to creative mode was just hard for some reason.

After a lot of soul searching and working on my process, it happened, and the book took off. So here is where we are right now.

Words: 225,340 – Chapters 28

The other thing that has really helped is reading the chapters on YouTube. I read a new chapter every Sunday and it’s developed a fun group of people who listen along and comment. It’s a great place to get in touch with me and discover the story. It also motivates me to keep writing! And that’s the most important thing of all.

Just search for Michael Taggart Fledgling God and the videos will pop up. I also made a list so it’s easy to start on chapter 1 and just keep going. Bermuda shows up in the videos a lot so you get to see how your favorite cat hero is doing!
